Our history

1958

The company continues to grow and the house on Frans Halslaan has now become too small, so the warehouse is being moved to Nassaustraat in Bussum. Due to the growth, an employee from outside the family is also hired for the first time: Mr. Truffino.

1960

The second Leijenaar generation has now reached an age when it was necessary to consider what the future of Leijenaar would look like. There was no successor within the family, so Mr. Truffino saw his chance. In 1960 he takes over Leijenaar, including the house on Frans Halslaan, where he will also live with his family.

1960 - 1975

Under the leadership of Mr. Truffino, growth continues and Leijenaar will supply its products nationwide.

1976

Due to the growth, the company will be moved out of the house and the office and warehouse will be merged in a new building on the Botweg in Bussum.

2002

Leijenaar has now gone through two takeovers and has grown out of its seams again in the building on Botweg and is moving to Nijverheidsweg in Huizen.

2009

Leijenaar expands its wings and looks beyond the borders of Europe and becomes exclusive supplier in the Benelux for Darshana from India, control element manufacturer.

2013

The product range is expanded with a large new product group: Conveyor belt scrapers.

2015

The new website including webshop goes online.

1927

The first Leijenaar generation starts from their home in Naarden by selling lubricants and small tools locally.

1945 - 1957

After the Second World War, the activities of the second generation Leijenaar are steadily continued and expanded to regional scope. The second Leijenaar generation has now moved to Frans Halslaan in Naarden, where the family lives and the sales take place from the living room.

1994

Harro Truffino, Mr. Truffino's son, joins the company.

1995 - 2001

Harro Truffino takes over Leijenaar from his father and continues the growth and professionalization. In this way, relations with suppliers are strengthened and Harro ensures that Leijenaar obtains the exclusivity of eight major manufacturers in the field of controls, lubrication tools and conveyor components.

2017 – 2019

Both Flexco and Minet continue to innovate their product programs. Flexco will come up with a completely new solution in 2017, the Transfer Plates. In 2019 Minet introduces the Super-Screw Evolution and have further improved their already very innovative and popular solution.

2022

Leijenaar also continues to develop and invests in a new webshop and PIM (product information management) system, with a link to external databases such as EZ-base, to provide our relations with all the information even better.
