Flexco expands to larger facility

Flexco recently announced the relocation of its facility in Flexco Europe. The company will remain in Rosenfeld, Germany, but are expanding to larger building to address existing space constraints and accommodate future growth of the operation.

“The reasons for our decision to build it were complex. We have always pursued the goal of becoming the industry's primary point of contact for companies seeking to maximize the productivity of their transportation systems. The new building will help us achieve this goal, as it has the space that will allow us to manufacture new, innovative products that solve our customers' biggest transportation challenges – and we will also be able to provide our customers with the best possible support with us. modern training center”, says Joerg Schairer, Managing Director of Flexco Europe GmbH.

The facility is 10,741 sqm in size, with 3,200 sqm for administrative functions, while the other 7,500 sqm houses production, warehousing and shipping. The location more than doubles the size of all departments and offers opportunities for staff expansion.

“The new facility gives us space for more than 100 attractive jobs,” said Schairer. “We have increased our workforce by 15% over the past 12 months and will double the number of apprenticeships we offer going forward.”

New design Flexco building

When building the new building, Flexco was looking for a more modern, open design that would optimize the information exchange between its employees and customers. As Flexco has a long history of manufacturing innovative, high quality products, the design team wanted to ensure that the use of modern technologies was high on their list of requirements. The resulting facility includes all of these features, with more to come.

“We will develop the site into one of the most modern Competence Centers in Europe for conveyor belt productivity in a variety of industries and applications,” said Schairer. “We understand customers' challenges – from food to package handling, to laundry, to mining and more – and support them in finding safer, more efficient solutions. Flexco University, online training, webinars, on-site training and industrial networking are just some of the offerings that allow our customers to benefit from our experience and know-how.”
